Terms of Service
The rules for using MiyaBuy as a quote-first Japan buying support and international shipping service.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using MiyaBuy, submitting a quote request, creating an account, paying an invoice, or requesting shipment, you agree to these Terms of Service and any related policy pages published on this site. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What MiyaBuy provides
MiyaBuy is an independent Japan proxy buying support service for overseas customers. We help review listings, estimate costs, purchase eligible items from Japanese sellers or marketplaces, receive items in Japan, prepare shipments, and arrange international delivery.
MiyaBuy is not the original seller, manufacturer, marketplace operator, inspection authority, customs authority, or shipping carrier. We do not own or create the products listed by third parties, and we do not guarantee seller performance or manufacturer quality.
3. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must provide accurate and current information when using MiyaBuy. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, keeping your shipping information accurate, and ensuring that your use of the service complies with the laws of your country or region.
MiyaBuy may suspend or refuse service if information is inaccurate, suspicious, incomplete, abusive, fraudulent, or creates unreasonable operational or legal risk.
4. Quote requests and manual review
Quote requests are free. No payment is taken on the quote request page. MiyaBuy manually reviews the submitted product URL and may provide an estimate that includes, where applicable, the item price, domestic shipping, service fee, optional handling or packing fees, and estimated international shipping.
Quotes are estimates only. Availability, seller response, exchange rates, item condition, parcel size, carrier restrictions, and final shipping method may change before or after purchase. MiyaBuy may decline any request for any reasonable business, operational, compliance, or safety reason.
5. Marketplace risk and item condition
Many MiyaBuy requests involve used, collectible, limited, or customer-to-customer marketplace items. Such items may have scratches, dents, stains, odors, discoloration, missing parts, replaced parts, damaged packaging, weak batteries, expired bonuses, or undisclosed defects. Product photos and descriptions are provided by the seller, not by MiyaBuy.
MiyaBuy may assist with a manual pre-purchase review, but we do not guarantee the completeness, authenticity, merchantability, fitness, legality, or exact condition of any item. Small cosmetic issues, package wear, seal condition, or seller-side description gaps are not grounds for a refund from MiyaBuy unless a refund is accepted by the seller, marketplace, payment processor, or carrier.
6. Pricing, fees, and two-step payment flow
MiyaBuy generally uses a two-step payment flow:
- First payment: item price and applicable first-stage fees required for purchase.
- Second payment: international shipping, packing, optional handling, and any final shipment-related fees after the item reaches Japan and parcel details are confirmed.
Service fees, bank or payment processor fees, currency conversion charges, marketplace charges, domestic shipping, warehouse-related handling, and international shipping costs may apply. Final shipment charges can only be confirmed after the item is received, measured, packed, and assigned to an available carrier.
7. Payment obligations and non-payment
Invoices must be paid within the stated period. If payment is not completed on time, MiyaBuy may cancel the request, refuse purchase, pause shipment, charge storage or administrative handling if applicable, or take other reasonable steps necessary to manage the order.
If a user initiates an improper chargeback, payment dispute, or unauthorized reversal after MiyaBuy has already performed work, purchased an item, or paid third parties, MiyaBuy may suspend the account, deny future service, and pursue recovery of related losses and fees to the extent permitted by law.
8. Restricted items and compliance
You may not request items that are prohibited by Japanese law, export restrictions, carrier rules, sanctions, customs regulations, intellectual property enforcement, dangerous goods rules, or the import laws of the destination country. MiyaBuy may refuse batteries, aerosols, flammables, weapons, counterfeit goods, adult-restricted goods, recalled products, biologically restricted goods, or any item that cannot be safely or legally shipped.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to understand whether an item can be imported into the destination country and whether any licenses, age restrictions, or special declarations are required.
9. Shipping, customs, duties, and taxes
MiyaBuy declares the actual purchase price of the item on customs documents unless otherwise required by law. We do not underdeclare value, mislabel goods as gifts, or provide false customs declarations.
Import duties, VAT, GST, tariffs, customs brokerage charges, local taxes, inspection charges, storage charges after arrival, and carrier handling fees are the buyer’s responsibility. Delivery speed is an estimate only and depends on the selected carrier, customs clearance, weather, destination operations, and other factors outside MiyaBuy’s control.
10. Cancellation, returns, and refunds
Before purchase, MiyaBuy may cancel a request at its discretion. After MiyaBuy purchases an item, cancellation or refund is usually not possible unless the seller, marketplace, carrier, or payment provider accepts the return or reversal. Non-refundable third-party costs may still be charged even if part of a request is canceled.
If MiyaBuy receives a confirmed refund from a seller or marketplace, we may return the recoverable amount to the user after deducting any non-refundable costs already incurred, including service work, payment processor fees, shipping charges, bank charges, or other actual costs.
11. Damage, loss, and limitation of liability
MiyaBuy will use reasonable care in handling and packing items, but we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, speculative, sentimental, collector-premium, or market-value losses. We are also not responsible for seller fraud, hidden defects, customs seizure, import refusal, carrier delay, carrier damage, address mistakes provided by the user, or events beyond our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MiyaBuy’s total liability for a request is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer to MiyaBuy for that specific transaction, excluding amounts already paid to third parties that cannot be recovered.
12. Prohibited conduct
You may not misuse the service, submit fraudulent requests, impersonate another person, harass staff, use automated abuse, attempt payment fraud, request illegal goods, exploit pricing mistakes in bad faith, or use MiyaBuy in a way that creates operational, reputational, or legal harm.
MiyaBuy may refuse service, cancel requests, or close accounts involved in prohibited conduct.
13. Privacy and data handling
Your use of MiyaBuy is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and use personal information related to quote requests, purchases, shipment handling, and support.
14. Changes and contact
MiyaBuy may update these Terms from time to time by publishing a revised version on this page. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
